Elise and Tim married on what turned out to be a cold and somewhat rainy day in October – not quite the weather that a couple envisions when planning an early autumn wedding in the Hudson Valley. By ceremony time, the rain had stopped and the fog cleared. “With wet feet and happy hearts, we joined our lives together in a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony. We were married outside on the lawn, beside an extraordinary old weeping willow tree. Tied together with a bow, our rings were lovingly passed from guest to guest, to be warmed and blessed, as we said our vows,” the bride told Twirl New York.

Elise happily described the evening inside their barn venue to be one “filled with warmth, laughter, an exquisite family style feast and nonstop dancing.” With creative details including Smoked Maple Bourbon as their signature cocktail and jars of their favorite maple syrup from Vermont’s Green Wind Farms as their favors, Elise and Tim were able to infuse the edibles and drinks with a personal touch. “At the end of the night, we enjoyed s’mores and said goodbye to our guests in the warm glow of a bonfire.”

And while their day started out being gray, the couple only has warm and sunny memories of their wedding day. “These days, we often find ourselves smiling from ear to ear while looking at photos and reminiscing about our favorite moments from the best day of our lives.”
