Teresa, a local television news anchor, and Daniel, a real estate agent, recited their vows in a traditional wedding ceremony on October 25th at Saint Ignatius Loyola on Park Avenue. The church was decorated in autumnal colors, with accents of gold and cream, to complement the season and the chapel’s grand interior. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests celebrated with the newlyweds at a formal reception at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, New Jersey.
The bride wore a Peter Langner gown she accessorized with a lace-trimmed veil, made from her mother’s wedding dress (her something old). To keep warm on the brisk October day, she wore her grandmother’s stole, which acted as her something borrowed.
We each wrote our love story independently, and displayed them in the ballroom for guests to read the ‘story of us’ according to me and according to him.—Teresa
Cream-colored floral centerpieces and crystal chandeliers created an elegant and glamorous scene in the octagonal-shaped ballroom. The couple kept their guests in mind when selecting their wedding details and included thank-you notes on the back of each menu card.
As the clock struck midnight, Teresa surprised her groom with an early birthday present, a cake lit up with festive sparklers, which kicked off the wedding’s after party.
