WHAT Made in Heaven Cakes
WHY As the wedding’s sweetest detail you want to make sure it looks good and tastes good too
You want a cake that looks great and more importantly, tastes great. With over 17 years of experience designing elaborate wedding cakes, Made in Heaven Cakes gives you an experience, that, you guessed it, is “made in heaven.” Based in Gowanus, Lisa and Victor Zagami started the business and have now transitioned ownership to their daughter, Victoria. But she isn’t in it as a hobby. This key member of the Made in Heaven team is a pastry chef who received her degree from The Culinary Institute of America. Victoria’s goal is to grow the business with new designs, styles, and techniques that her education and past job experiences have taught her. Her love and passion for baking, and dedication to making every experience “Heavenly,” is a powerful combination.
Our couples believe in the importance of a great tasting cake. We are a perfect combination of excellent flavor and design—Victoria
From modern designs of stripes or geometric shapes to more traditional round tiers with sugar florals, Made in Heaven Cakes can create whatever design you desire. They recently made separate flower pot cakes for each table at a wedding. “It was a fun way to have a great centerpiece and it was edible too,” Victoria tells Twirl New York.
The company is on the preferred list at Guastavino’s and has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, BRIDES and New York magazine’s Weddings issue. In addition to wedding cakes, Made in Heaven Cakes also bakes groom’s cakes, sculpted cakes, special occasion cakes, cupcakes, edible favors, and their famous flower pot cakes, which have been featured in Oprah magazine as well as the food site Eater.
