A New Year’s Eve party screams glamour, so when Todd, the owner of Todd Events in Dallas, and his partner, Ceron, decided to wed on December 31st, they picked New York City as the location because as Todd says, “There is no more glamorous city.” The couple booked The Glass Houses in Chelsea, which offered sweeping views of the city, and worked with their talented industry friends to create a memorable ceremony and reception no one would ever forget.

The couple reserved rooms for their guests at The Carlyle, where guests were given T&C monogrammed totes to “shop” at the T&C amenity suite, arranged like a swag suite at the Oscars so guests could pick and choose what they wanted.

The evening began with cocktails and dinner at The Glass Houses, with the  reception tables set with embroidered linens, gold-rimmed china, white and black centerpieces and tall black tapered candles. “We wanted the dinner venue to feel like a classic supper club,” explained Todd.

The wedding, inspired by a re-designed Ralph Lauren store, had a black, gold and cream color palette and a variety of details including Ladurée macaron favors in black and gold boxes, glittering top hats, and a guest book with illustrations of each guest.

“So many people said to us, ‘Save money and buy a house!’ I’m so glad we didn’t listen and had this wedding celebration. The memories are priceless.”—Ceron

Guests dined on bite-sized hors d’oeuvres and Lobster Thermidor by Peter Callahan Catering. An orchestra, The Rhythm Collective from Elan Entertainment, played throughout the meal. And for dessert, Sylvia Weinstock designed a gold-leafed wedding cake with the weekend’s T&C logo.

At 10:30pm, after the five-course dinner, the couple was married by their good friend, and fellow wedding planner, Marcy Blum. The couple wrote their own vows, and each of their 12 bridesmaids read a portion of them.

After saying “I do,” the newlyweds and their guests partied into the night with DJ Tyger Lilly keeping everyone on the dance floor. And when midnight came, top-hatted dancers formed a chorus line to perform “New York, New York” to ring in the New Year.
