THE BEST THING ABOUT SPRING IN THE CITY
The energy comes alive, people are on the streets, in the parks, the mood is so much more cheerful. I especially love Central Park.
THE BEATRICE INN Since 1924 the Beatrice Inn has been a go-to spot for cocktails and fine dining. Celebrities and the hippest of hip New Yorkers flock to this establishment to drink, eat, and be seen.
MICHAEL’S NEW YORK Since 1989 Michael’s has been the spot to dine for power brokers, artists, actors, writers and theater goers. Anyone with an appreciation for fine cuisine and authentic art (works by Jasper Johns, David Hockney and Robert Graham adorn the walls) should hit this midtown hot spot.
The energy in New York comes alive in the spring. People are on the streets, in the parks, the mood is so much more cheerful. I especially love Central Park.—Rita Vinieris
BLEEKER STREET Though this West Village Street has turned into a mini-Madison Avenue, it still has unique shops for fashion and home shopping including C.O. Bigelow Chemists, and for foodies specialty stores such as Murray’s Cheese, and gourmet ice cream and pastry shops.
YVES DURIF SALON Inside the Carlyle Hotel is Yves Durif Salon. Their philosophy says it all: It’s downtown style, uptown. Services include hair and nails, brows and makeup.
CENTRAL PARK At 843 acres, Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States as well as one of the most filmed locations in the world. What really says spring in New York City more than this world-famous park?
