Miguel and Robbie wanted a rustic, urban, and chic setting for their December 2014 wedding, and they found exactly the look they were going for at Brooklyn’s The Green Building. After posing for portraits in DUMBO, the couple and their bridal party made their way to the Carroll Gardens’ venue, which was decorated by Melarosa with a neutral palette, festive lights, and succulent centerpieces.
The setting was further enhanced by the Sharp Shooter Signs’ chalkboards set in front of the building’s exposed brick walls, which welcomed guests, highlighted the reception menu, catered by Marcey Brownstein Catering, and encouraged family and friends to strike a pose at the photo booth.
From the minute we entered the space, we knew for certain this was the space we wanted to hold our wedding.—Robbie
For the couple’s wedding ceremony, they asked David Feiner, Artistic Director at The Albany Park Theatre Project in Chicago, to share their love story in a unique way. “From a very high level, we wanted our ceremony and wedding to tell the story of not only love, but our journey to this point in our lives,” Robbie shared with Twirl New York.
Their officiant crafted a narrative that told their individual stories, as well as the story of their lives together, and how the two of them created a loving community.
