Pink & Green
A few designers caught our eye at New York Bridal Week with classic, preppy colors
In a sea of naked gowns at the recent Fall 2016 New York Bridal market, a few other trends manage to squeeze through all the sheerness and body-hugging, what-would-your-mother-say styles. One of our favorites? Preppy pink and green. Not exactly the whales and stripe patterns of our youth, but this fresh take on a classic, well loved color combo made us a little giddy from our runway seats. Three of our favorite designers incorporated shades of pink and green, all in their own unique interpretations. From light and clean, to delicate embroidery, to bold and beautiful, these gorgeous gowns prove that sometimes a little color is more sophisticated than a whole lot of skin.
Carolina Herrera is always a standout, showing a fashion forward and whimsical, yet never trendy collection. She added a pink and green floral pattern on two gowns combining the patterned fabric with tulle for a very soft, subtle and elegant look. The perfect combination for all those classic and elegant prepster brides.

Ines di Santo’s diverse collection had something for everyone. Our favorite styles incorporated pale shade of pinks and greens as embroidered flowers on constructed satin and silk mikado gowns. No need for lace when your embroideries are this pretty and romantic.
Designer Naeem Khan went bold (as his his normal way) and we loved every gown that came down the runway. The bright pinks were a stand out, especially the pink gaza full skirt paired with an embroidered pink and green strapless bodice. The dégrader pink applique flowers may be missing the green element, but we think the floral headpiece of bougainvilleas and greenery makes up for it!
