Natalia and Jason were new to San Francisco so to get better acquainted in their new community, the two, separately, decided to go to schul. Their first meeting soon blossomed into a love story, which lead to a romantic proposal in a blizzard at John F. Kennedy airport in New York City.
After Natalia was able to get the last flight out of San Francisco during one of the January 2014 blizzards, Jason surprised his future bride by picking her up at the terminal wearing a tuxedo and riding in a limo. “I was getting really frustrated because I couldn’t find his car due to a giant limo blocking my view of the cars pulling in,” Natalia tells Twirl New York. “Then I saw him in his tuxedo, standing in 10 degree weather holding a sign in front of the limo that read, ‘Want to make it official?’ and of course I said yes!”
The couple was married on December 20, 2014 at Temple Beth Torah in Melville on Long Island in a traditional Jewish ceremony. The couple worked with Gala Events to create a winter wonderland filled with “snow” covered branches, lush white blooms and shimmering (ice) crystals. The bride wore a strapless, mermaid Lazar0 gown with lace accents she bought at Kleinfeld, and the groom a black tuxedo.
