Sweet Paul Weddings
Take a look inside Matthew’s new project, filled with beautiful ideas for your wedding
“Publishing a weddings magazine is something I have dreamed about for many years,” Matthew Robbins tells Twirl New York. The wedding designer and author of Matthew Robbins’ Inspired Weddings, partnered with Sweet Paul editor and publisher Paul Lowe to launch Matthew Robbins Sweet Paul Weddings, a new digital and print publication that is chock-full of creative wedding ideas, real weddings and oh-so pretty details that brides everywhere are sure to swoon over. “My main goal was to create a weddings magazine that focuses on lifestyle and design inspiration surrounding celebrations with a focus on weddings. A couple planning a wedding is searching for more than just a wedding dress or a centerpiece. They are looking for travel inspiration, food and cocktail ideas and more details that provide direction for their new life together.”
Matthew partnered with Sweet Paul because of their shared unfussy and natural aesthetic. “Paul already celebrates the beautiful and simple details that make life wonderful in his lifestyle magazine. I felt it was time to bring this to the weddings market,” Matthew shares. “Weddings are filled with so much hype, over the top craziness and drama. I wanted to bring a voice of reason to the market that’s not about being a princess or diva but more about being authentic, unique and personal.”
“Our goal is to focus on the many faces of marriage and families while bringing fresh, inspired material for new couples and their friends to enjoy.” – Matthew Robbins
So what will you find inside? Besides beautiful, pin-worthy photos, the magazine is beyond the bride. The overall issue focuses on what weddings are about: two people coming together and bringing their love, dreams and vision to life in a thoughtful, authentic celebration explains Matthew. “Our goal is to focus on the many faces of marriage and families while bringing fresh, inspired material for new couples and their friends to enjoy.”
The features focus on the “sweet moments in life” according to Matthew, and include a nice mix of traditional and playful irreverence. The real weddings truly infuse a couple’s personal sense of style and history, while international destinations in Mexico and Cartagena are sure to inspire couples planning a destination wedding. Though Matthew says he doesn’t have afavorite, the weddings he is partial to include the Suite Details and the Botanical Wedding stories.
The magazine is currently being published annually, and Matthew and Paul are already hard at work on the next issue! The first issue of MRSP Weddings can be purchased online as an Instant PDF Download for $9.99 or a Single Print Issue for $18.00.
