When a couple meets in Atlanta, lives in Chicago with another home in New York City, where are they to wed? They felt it was easier to work by process of elimination, crossing out what they didn’t want, than by listing to what they did want. With the goal of spending money on only things that mattered, and not on things that didn’t, Heather and Philip created a warm and intimate celebration that the bride calls “perfect.” What could be better than that?

We didn’t want a traditional dinner reception. We wanted the whole day to be fun —Heather

Because one of their favorite pastimes is a relaxing brunch in New York, that’s exactly what they tried to recreate for their wedding celebration. By having their ceremony at noon and cocktails at 1:30, they were able to enjoy the best of both, brunch hour and a traditional wedding. They “danced the day and night away, and the party continued well into the night! ” the bride tells Twirl New York.
