WHY These two women truly understand your Hamptons’ needs
You want planners that get it—get you as a couple, get your celebration needs, get your location. You want them to understand the intimate details of your affair and the importance of high quality vendors, infusing their clients creativity into the process, and the classic, iconic style of New York City and the Hamptons. Enter Duke + Van Deusen, a company founded by lifelong friends who do just that, and more.
While they officially joined forces in 2013, the pair have over 15 years of wedding planning experience between them. Based in the Hamptons, they provide full planning and design services for a wide range of event styles from at-home affairs to grand ballroom parties. “Our specialty is tented receptions on private estates,” Sarah Duke tells Twirl New York, “but we also plan many weddings at a variety of venues.”
D+VD mold their aesthetic to their clients’ preferences, which run the gamut from bohemian and artsy to classic preppy decor. Known for a classic Hamptons style, they can also produce events with a more beachy decor too.
Our brides are looking to create something unique and we love helping them do it. -Sarah Duke, Duke + Van Deusen
When you ask for references don’t be surprised if recent brides who have worked with them explain how Sarah and Taylor were more than their wedding planners, but became their best friends, and in some cases a therapist to help them maneuver through not just the logistical and creative details but some of the more delicate issues that can arise.
You may have seen their work in BRIDES, Town & Country, Vogue and Hamptons Magazine. In addition to weddings, they also design and plan smaller events such as themed birthday parties and surprise vow renewals. Pricing begins at $8,000.
